GreatApe is a platform for connecting people to projects. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we hold it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you submit an expression of interest through one of our project pages, we collect:

• Email address — required, so we can follow up with you
• Name — optional, if you choose to provide it
• Message — optional, any context you add
• Role and project — which role and project you expressed interest in

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use this site. It collects anonymised data including pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/region), and device and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool. We do not use third-party advertising.

Why we hold it

To follow up on your expression of interest — and potentially to contact you about similar projects we run in future. We do not send newsletters or marketing. We do not sell or share your data with anyone outside the project you expressed interest in.

Where it's stored

Submissions are stored in AWS infrastructure in the UK (London region). Email notifications are sent via AWS Simple Email Service.

Removing your data

If you'd rather we didn't hold your details, email hello@greatape.org and we'll remove them promptly.
